Description This position will support and assist the Controller. A keen eye for detail is necessary, as well as, the ability to multi-task and work proficiently, independently, and in a team environment. Accounting duties will cover multiple companies. Main Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for management of insurance claims. Work with insurance contacts for annual property, liability, and workers compensation annual renewals.
Respond to employee work-related injury claims and follow claims to completion. Setup employee drug tests, doctor visits related to managing claims.
Process payroll and file all payroll tax returns, including generating W-2's.
Review and track leases for condominium tenants.
Ensures operational compliance with applicable Federal and State labor laws and regulations.
Complete Federal Motor Vehicle Registration forms and monthly vehicle registrations.
Review invoices for satisfactory payment approval; process accounts payables using job cost.
Billing and tracking of accounts receivable on a monthly basis.
Complete monthly reconciliations for multiple bank accounts. Process daily bank transfers as needed and post corresponding transaction in accounting system.
Maintain spreadsheets in excel by inputting & verifying data.
Work with safety committees on a monthly basis Experience Qualifications Skills Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
Experience with hands-on payroll processing, including knowledge of federal/state/local wage and hour and tax laws, as well as general Payroll Tax knowledge and employer payroll tax and filings.
Proficiency in Excel required.
Experience in the following not required, but highly recommended:
SAGE/MAS
100, Clock Track, Physical/CDL Drug Testing.
