PAYROLL SPECIALIST
Pittsburgh, PA (Suburbs) $55,000-60,000 OVERVIEW
OF THE PAYROLL SPECIALIST ROLE
Process payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain payroll records, manage deductions, and ensure timely tax filings. Address payroll inquiries from clients and employees, resolving discrepancies efficiently. Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations. Collaborate with HR, accounting, and finance teams to streamline payroll processes. Assist with year-end payroll reporting, including W-2s and 1099s.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE PAYROLL SPECIALIST
Experience:
3 years + of payroll processing experience
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. Attention to
Detail:
Ability to identify and correct payroll discrepancies.
Communication:
Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills to assist clients. #
