This position will support a complex, multi-state payroll environment and work closely with employees, managers, Finance, and HR. The ideal candidate has strong payroll fundamentals, enjoys problem-solving, and is comfortable working with payroll and timekeeping technology.

Payroll Specialist Qualifications:

3+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state payroll Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations Experience working with electronic payroll, HRIS, and timekeeping systems Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities Ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities and deadlines

Payroll Specialist Responsibilities:

Process biweekly payroll, including wages, taxes, deductions, garnishments, and benefits Maintain payroll records related to new hires, terminations, employee changes, and other transactions Audit and reconcile payroll and timekeeping information Process payroll adjustments, leave-related pay, benefit changes, and rate updates Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee questions Prepare payroll reports and support year-end tax reporting, audits, and filings Assist with payroll system testing, upgrades, and process improvements Support payroll system administration and data accuracy Provide guidance to managers and employees regarding payroll and timekeeping procedures Partner with internal departments to improve payroll processes and reporting What the
