Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper / Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing and support daily financial operations. This hybrid role is responsible for ensuring accurate payroll execution, maintaining financial records, and supporting compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate demonstrates high accuracy, discretion, and the ability to manage confidential information. This position plays a critical role in ensuring timely employee payments, maintaining organized financial records, and supporting informed business decision-making. Key Responsibilities Payroll Administration Manage the full payroll cycle, including calculating wages, overtime, commissions, and deductions (taxes, benefits, garnishments) Process payroll accurately and on schedule using payroll software Review personnel action forms and timesheets for accuracy Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee information Bookkeeping & Financial Operations Record financial transactions and maintain general ledger accuracy Prepare journal entries for payroll-related expenses Reconcile bank and credit card statements Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoices, payments, and vendor statements Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations Prepare and assist with quarterly and annual tax filings Maintain accurate documentation for audits and reporting purposes Record Maintenance Update and maintain employee data Track attendance and payroll-related documentation Ensure secure and organized recordkeeping systems Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Experience in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and web-based applications QuickBooks experience Two years of Bookkeeping experience Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Pay:
$58,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
