Job Description

The primary responsibilities of this position are payroll processing and administration. This position reports to the CFO and is a full-time hourly position, typically working in person Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Hourly wage range up to:
$35.00 Wage based on experience.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly payroll for over 160 employees timely, accurately and efficiently. Comply with federal, state and local payroll and tax regulations. Maintain and update employee records timely. Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime and shift differentials. Review and file federal, state and local tax reports. Process voluntary and government mandated employee payroll deductions. Maintain accurate and organized electronic records in accordance with company policies. Prepare payroll reports for management. Perform reconciliations as needed of assigned transactions. Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure data accuracy and resolve payroll/benefits issues. Assist with continuous improvement of payroll processes and internal controls. Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and efficient processing. Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software. Strong organizational skills. Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple activities. Ability to record, store, and analyze financial data using accounting software. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines. Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Office.
Education and Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in processing and administering payroll is required. A Degree in Accounting is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
