Job Description

Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll & Accounting Clerk/Specialist to join our team. This role is central to our day-to-day operations, supporting payroll processing, quarterly reporting, general bookkeeping, and additional hands-on support during tax season. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys steady, detail-driven work in a small office environment and wants to build long-term experience in accounting and payroll. Responsibilities Enter and process client payroll accurately and on schedule including live and ATF Prepare quarterly reports (e.g., payroll tax filings, sales tax returns) Perform general bookkeeping duties: accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and data entry Maintain accurate and organized financial records for multiple clients Provide general administrative and clerical support during tax season, including document preparation and client communication Assist accountants and office staff with additional tasks as needed Qualifications Prior bookkeeping, payroll, or accounting clerk experience preferred Proficiency with QuickBooks & Microsoft Proficiency with EFTPS and myPath systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable working with numbers, deadlines, and confidential financial information Associate degree in accounting, business, or related field a plus, but not required Ability to work extended hours during tax season (January-April)
Pay:
$19.00 - $29.00 per hour
