Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Analyst to support multi-state payroll operations for approximately 400 employees in a fast-paced, public company environment. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of payroll processing, SOX compliance, and payroll controls, along with hands-on experience using Workday. This role requires someone who is adaptable, tech savvy, and confident managing payroll operations from start to finish while collaborating cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Accounting teams. This is a full-time hybrid opportunity based in Boston, MA, with in-office attendance Tuesday through Thursday and remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays. Duties Process and manage multi-state payroll operations for approximately 400 employees with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality Utilize Workday payroll systems to process payroll transactions, troubleshoot issues, and maintain payroll records Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, company policies, and SOX controls within a public company environment Prepare and review payroll-related reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for audits and financial reporting Partner cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Accounting, and Equity teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and improve processes Administer payroll-related deductions, tax withholdings, garnishments, and benefit adjustments Support payroll system updates, integrations, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency Maintain accurate employee payroll records and ensure timely processing of payroll changes Assist with journal entries, payroll reconciliations, and other accounting-related payroll activities Stay current on payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements impacting payroll operations Experience 5-8+ years of full-cycle payroll experience required Strong hands-on experience with Workday required; One Source Virtual (OSV) experience Experience working in a public company environment with SOX compliance requirements preferred Strong understanding of payroll processes, internal controls, and payroll best practices Experience performing payroll reconciliations, reporting, and audit support Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and accuracy Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple departments Highly detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Additional Information Full Time, Hybrid Schedule Tuesday-Thursday in office / Monday & Friday remote
