Job Description

Payroll Analyst Under the direction and guidance of the Payroll Operations Manager, responsible for assisting in the execution of semi-monthly payroll processing utilizing best practices. Works to analyze payroll data, troubleshoot discrepancies and act as a strong line of support to ensure seamless payroll processing. Essential Functions
  • Provide excellent payroll support to Steptoe employees
  • Assist with information requests internally and externally, including but not limited to audits, departmental report requests, employee year end forms requests, etc.
  • Verify and approve employee documents including direct deposit forms, tax form updates, address form updates, etc. within Dayforce
  • Validate and manage payroll hours entered into timesheets, ensuring timesheets are completed in a timely manner and providing support to managers
  • Provide timesheet training to applicable new hires
  • Assist in managing Dayforce Support tickets
  • Run, analyze and distribute pre-commit reports to Payroll Operations Manager
  • Analyze and assist with off-cycle payments or corrections, including in house checks or wires
  • Actively participate in payroll projects including amendments, year end processing, etc.
  • Analyze and validate that all systems reflect new or changing regulations and/or rates
  • Maintain an up-to-date education on applicable tax jurisdictions' regulations and changes Non-Essential Functions
  • Work with Payroll Operations Manager to continually analyze Dayforce set-up to ensure efficiency
  • Work with Payroll Operations Manager to manage and resolve outstanding tax notices
  • Other duties as assigned and within the scope of job function Minimum Qualification
  • Three to five years' payroll experience required
  • Experience with Dayforce preferred Success Factors
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain positive relationships with internal departments and outside vendors
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail Work Environment
  • Must be available to work a full time schedule Monday - Friday (specific hours to be arranged with Payroll Operations Manager)
  • Must be able to work under tight deadlines and in stressful situations
  • Hybrid work arrangements are available for this position and will be arranged with Payroll Operations Manager
  • Must be able to comply with all safety requirements in our workplace which may include provision of proof of full vaccination for COVID-19 and adherence to other safety protocols implemented The anticipated base salary range for this position is $84,100.
The actual base salary offered will be dependent upon the applicant's experience and qualifications, as well as other job-related factors, including but not limited to, relevant skills, education, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, geographic location.
