Job Description

Job Summary:
Perform payroll data entry for clientele in multiple states. Ensures compliance with all state payroll regulations, garnishment processing, overseeing, and maintaining the company's ADP Payroll Platform, tax, and statistical reporting compliance for federal, state and local jurisdictions.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None. Will report directly to the Payroll Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Oversees the planning, execution, and accurate processing of the weekly and Bi-weekly payroll processes on systems, i.e., ADP Process multiple client payrolls Maintain excellent communication between clients while monitoring Payroll Inbox and filtering calls received from clients Process weekly reporting after payroll is submitted Process monthly reporting after all payrolls are submitted for the month Process quarterly reporting after all payrolls are submitted for the quarter Process yearly reporting after all payrolls are submitted for the fiscal year and calendar year endings Knowledge of payroll laws amongst multiple states or knowledge of the tools to stay up to date Works directly with accounting department to ensure the banking reconciliation process and journal entries are completed timely
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Teams. Software skills test will be given during interview process to validate proficiency in Microsoft Excel. General knowledge and understanding of accounting software programs and Third Party Payroll Software programs (ADP) Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier/scanner. 10-key skills test will be given during interview process to validate 10-key speed.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting preferred. Payroll certifications a bonus. Work related experience preferred. Proficiency in English. ADP Workforce Now knowledge. Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets. Adobe Pro Knowledge. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
