In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for employees while maintaining compliance with all applicable labor and tax laws. Your expertise in payroll systems and accounting software will drive efficiency and accuracy in managing confidential payroll data. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where precision, compliance, and excellent service are paramount. Duties Manage comprehensive payroll processing using advanced payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Ceridian, or UltiPro, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Reconcile payroll data with general ledger accounts through double-entry bookkeeping and journal entries, maintaining precise financial records. Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies by staying current on legal updates and implementing necessary changes. Administer benefits programs and handle complex payroll tax calculations, including deductions, contributions, and reporting requirements. Support HRIS systems integration such as PeopleSoft or Kronos to streamline time & attendance tracking and payroll processing workflows. Conduct detailed analysis of payroll reports, accounts receivable, governmental accounting data, and general ledger reconciliation to identify discrepancies or areas for process improvement. Handle sensitive confidential information with integrity while managing data entry tasks related to payroll management and benefits administration. Requirements Proven experience with payroll systems including Workday, Paychex, ADP, Ceridian, UltiPro, Kronos or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, payroll tax law, and financial concepts related to payroll management. Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel), accounting software (QuickBooks preferred), and other financial software tools used for payroll processing and analysis. Demonstrated expertise in accounting principles such as double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, debits & credits. Experience handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Ability to perform detailed data entry accurately using 10-key typing skills in a fast-paced environment. Excellent analytical skills combined with a thorough understanding of government regulations affecting payroll and benefits administration.
