Senior Payroll Specialist Location:

Mission Viejo, CA (Hybrid) A growing multi-site organization is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Payroll Specialist to join its payroll team. This role supports accurate, timely payroll processing across multiple locations and states while providing dependable service to employees and internal partners. What You'll Do Process and audit multi-state payrolls accurately and on schedule. Review timekeeping, pay changes, deductions, accruals, reimbursements, bonuses, and other payroll inputs. Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee questions, and payroll-related system issues. Support new-hire setup, employee changes, terminations, final pay, and payroll record maintenance. Maintain payroll documentation and follow established internal controls and confidentiality requirements. Partner with HR, operations, and benefits teams to ensure payroll information is complete and accurate. Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, audits, and process-improvement projects. Stay current on applicable wage-and-hour, payroll tax, and state payroll requirements. What You Bring 4+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state payroll processing.

Required:

hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now. Experience processing and managing wage garnishments. Strong knowledge of payroll processes, deductions, taxes, timekeeping, and employee pay adjustments. Advanced attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage deadlines in a high-volume environment. Strong Excel and reporting skills. Ability to handle sensitive employee and payroll information with discretion. Healthcare, long-term care, or other multi-site operational experience is preferred.
