Job Description

Job Description Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team in a contract-to-hire capacity. This role is primarily responsible for managing internal payroll operations for a large, multi-state employee population. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience processing payroll for 1,000+ employees, using Workday, and ensuring accurate, compliant payroll administration from start to finish. Benefits experience is preferred but will be limited to employee support and administrative functions. https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/. Skills and Requirements 5+ years of internal corporate payroll experience with responsibility for end-to-end payroll processing. Experience processing payroll for an organization with 1,000+ employees. Experience managing complex multi-state payroll on the employer side. Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll. Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, payroll audits, and compliance requirements. Proven experience researching and resolving payroll discrepancies, tax issues, and employee inquiries. Experience working on an internal payroll team supporting a large employee population. Exposure to benefits administration, including enrollments, employee inquiries, and life event changes. Strong Excel and reporting skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
  •  Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  •  Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification.
  •  Experience in a manufacturing, construction, engineering, or corporate environment.
