Impact of the Role General Profile Requires working knowledge and skills developed through formal training or work experience Identifies the problems and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures, and makes sound decisions Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision Performs manual tasks according to established procedures Essential Functions Assists with duties and tasks associated with payroll. Uses payroll software, inputs payroll data, and prepares payroll checks. Processes irregular payments such as bonuses. Answers employee questions related to payroll and resolves issues. May maintain vacation and personal time records. Helps to ensure payroll practices meet government compliance. Required Qualifications Required education and experience: High School Diploma/GED required and 3-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications Preferred education and experience: Associate's Degree Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and Written Communication Skills. Detail Oriented. Ability to Meet Deadlines. Data Entry-Keyboarding. Data QA. Direct Deposit Administration. Inquiry Research/Response. Paid Time Off Tracking. Paycheck Distribution. Payroll Reconciliation. Payroll Tax Deposits. Payroll Tax Reporting. Timesheet Auditing. Payroll Software. Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
