About Us Acuity Business & Tax Advisors is a Utah-based provider of advisory services focusing on tax, accounting, and payroll services. We provide ongoing tax and accounting management services to many business owners and individuals in Utah and surrounding states. We are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team in our Ogden, UT office. Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and customer service are top priorities. Responsibilities Process payrolls accurately and on schedule for multiple clients. Review payroll information for accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Process direct deposits and payroll tax payments. Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll tax reports. Process new hires, employee changes, and terminations. Respond to client questions by phone and email in a professional and timely manner. Maintain confidential employee and payroll information. Assist with year-end payroll processing, including W-2s and other required reporting. Stay current on payroll laws and regulations. Review payroll processing done by other payroll processing staff Meet with clients to assess payroll needs Setup payroll in QuickBooks and other payroll processing software Conversion experience from various payroll software applications Review payroll quarterly and annual tax filings Understand multi-state payroll tax account setup and filing Handle payroll tax notices with Federal and State payroll tax agencies Track payroll filing for multiple clients throughout the firm Qualifications Payroll processing experience required. Knowledge of payroll taxes and payroll compliance is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and manage time effectively. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel. Experience with payroll software is preferred.
