In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate processing of payroll for our organization, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Your expertise in payroll systems, accounting principles, and HRIS platforms will be essential to maintaining smooth payroll operations. The Payroll Administrator will serve as a key point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, supporting our commitment to employee satisfaction and organizational efficiency. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end payroll processing using systems such as Workday and other supported payroll software. Ensure compliance with employment laws, tax regulations, and labor law requirements across all payroll activities. Reconcile payroll data through detailed analysis of spreadsheets, general ledger accounts, and accounting software to maintain accuracy. Handle confidential employee information with integrity and discretion while managing data entry and payroll records. Prepare journal entries related to payroll transactions and ensure proper posting to the general ledger for accurate financial reporting. Collaborate with HRIS teams to troubleshoot payroll system issues and implement process improvements for efficiency. Stay current on updates in tax law, payroll tax regulations, governmental accounting standards, and related financial concepts affecting payroll management. Experience Proven experience in payroll administration or related accounting roles within corporate or non-profit environments. Strong familiarity with multiple payroll systems such as Workday or similar platforms. Demonstrated knowledge of employment law, labor law compliance, and tax law as they relate to payroll processing. Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel), accounting software (QuickBooks or similar), and financial analysis tools. Experience handling confidential information with professionalism and integrity. Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping accurately. Excellent analysis skills with a focus on accuracy in data entry and financial reporting tasks such as debits & credits and general ledger reconciliation.
