Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll/Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to join our team. This multifaceted role offers an exciting opportunity to manage payroll processing, maintain accurate financial records, and support administrative functions across our organization. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting systems, payroll management, and administrative support, ensuring smooth financial operations and efficient office workflows. Duties Process payroll accurately and timely using payroll software, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, bill payments, and client billing Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and balance sheets to maintain financial integrity Prepare journal entries, perform account analysis, and assist with month-end closing procedures following GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Maintain and update financial software such as QuickBooks Online, Sage, Xero, or similar systems; ensure data accuracy across all platforms Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and assisting with financial report writing for internal review Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, document filing, correspondence management, and scheduling appointments Skills Extensive experience with accounting software including QuickBooks (Online & Desktop), Sage, Xero, and other financial systems Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets), including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis Strong understanding of accounting concepts such as double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting Knowledge of payroll processing procedures along with tax experience related to payroll taxes and filings Familiarity with corporate accounting practices as well as non-profit accounting standards if applicable Ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently; experience with account analysis is a plus Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Strong communication skills for preparing financial reports and collaborating across teams Basic typing skills (10 key) for efficient data entry; attention to detail is essential Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to excellence in financial management and administrative support. Pay:
$18.50 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
