Key Responsibilities for the
Payroll Coordinator:
Process full-cycle payroll and ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery.
  • Review and audit timesheets, payroll records, and employee pay data.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax filings and payments.
  • Reconcile payroll liabilities, benefits, and payroll-related general ledger accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, benefit reconciliation issues, and other payroll-related challenges.
  • Prepare journal entries and payroll-related financial reporting.
  • Assist with payroll system conversion activities and process documentation.
  • Support special projects and process improvements within the finance department.
Qualifications for the
Payroll Coordinator:
3+ years of full-cycle payroll experience.
  • Prior payroll experience in a government or municipal environment strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Washington State payroll regulations, taxes, deductions, and reporting requirements preferred.
  • Experience managing monthly and quarterly payroll tax filings and reconciliations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex payroll issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Experience with Eden software and/or CentralSquare Finance Enterprise is a plus.
