Job Description

Ashley is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our Finance and Transactional Accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable payroll regulations. The Payroll Specialist serves as a key resource for payroll-related inquiries and works closely with Human Resources, Operations, and other business partners to support payroll administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Process weekly payroll for hourly associates across multiple Ashley locations. Review, audit, and validate payroll data including time worked, wages, deductions, and other payroll transactions. Import payroll data into HRIS and payroll systems while ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, adjustments, and employee inquiries. Prepare, review, and distribute payroll reports and supporting documentation. Maintain payroll records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Assist with payroll tax, garnishment, and deduction administration as required. Support internal and external audits by gathering payroll-related documentation. Collaborate with Human Resources and business leaders to ensure accurate employee payroll information. Continuously identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and provide exceptional customer service to associates and internal partners.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred. Previous payroll, accounting, finance, or administrative experience preferred. Knowledge of payroll practices, wage and hour regulations, and payroll systems is desirable. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet payroll deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Why Join Ashley?
