Job Description
Payroll Administrator (Multi-State) - On Site Green Bay, WI (Corporate Office) . Home Instead is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our established and collaborative corporate team, you will have direct access to Finance and HR leadership in Green Bay , WI. This role is On-Site and responsible for supporting multi-state payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing across multiple locations. You will be a trusted member of our Corporate Finance team, helping ensure more than 1,500 employees are paid appropriately and on time. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. This position plays a key role in maintaining strong relationships with our Care Professionals and internal teams, while supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This role also offers the opportunity to become a key resource for UKG Pro administration, helping support system enhancements, train managers and employees, and improve payroll and HR processes across the organization. Key Responsibilities Process new hires and employee changes across multiple locations and jurisdictions Review payroll records to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulations Apply knowledge of multi-state payroll tax requirements, including withholding and reporting Process wage garnishments, levies, and other court-ordered deductions Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and process corrections as needed Ensure accurate and timely payments by reviewing claims and resolving issues Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency Training managers and employees on payroll and HR processes Overall organizational UKG administration Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Education & Experience Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) 3-5 years of payroll experience required Experience with multi-state payroll tax requirements preferred Working knowledge of federal and state labor laws preferred Experience supporting employees with payroll-related questions is a plus Technical Skills Strong Excel skills required Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) UKG experience preferred WellSky experience a plus Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance Ability to interpret and apply payroll regulations across multiple jurisdictions Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust with employees and partners Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to meet deadlines Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Professional demeanor with strong customer service orientation Why Join Home Instead?
