Full Job Description Overview:
This position is onsite at the Corporate Headquarters located in Kenosha, WI.
Position Summary:
Prepares and processes payrolls for Snap-on Incorporated's Corporate Payroll department. Assists with processing and balancing assigned payrolls in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities:
Utilizes a payroll application to input payroll data including hours, special payments, deductions, banking & tax data, etc. for running payroll. Responsible for this weekly entry and payroll processing for approximately 5-7 different payrolls across different locations in the US. Processes garnishment, child support and tax levys per legal requirement. Completes audit checks and reviews the payroll data entered prior to processing and finalizing the payrolls. Communicates and collaborates with Human Resources team members to validate information and ensure accurate payroll processing Enters payroll summary information onto weekly payroll consolidation worksheet. Reconciles payroll-clearing account for all assigned payrolls. Creates and runs ongoing monthly and periodic reports for business unit leaders and finance teams. On an as needed basis, calculates and prepare manual checks. Answers associates' questions and responds to various payroll inquiries from Human Resources. May also assist with preparing and entering weekly payroll cash and/or monthly tax adjustments into finance management system Responds to employment verification requests and to wage verification requests and audits from unemployment agencies. Completes other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma 1-2 years of experience working administratively with payroll or similar accounting area. Technical knowledge of the payroll function Experience using a payroll application or software, preferably ADP Enterprise Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills. Proficient with Microsoft Excel Problem solving and troubleshooting skills Customer service and communication skills
