Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for all employees. You will utilize advanced payroll systems and software to process payroll, maintain compliance with employment and labor laws, and handle sensitive confidential information with integrity. Your expertise in accounting, HR systems, and payroll management will be vital in supporting our company's financial health and employee satisfaction. Responsibilities Process payroll accurately with Quick Books is a must Ensure compliance with employment laws, tax regulations, and labor standards across jurisdictions Maintain and update employee records within HRIS and payroll systems, including benefits administration and time & attendance data Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare journal entries for general ledger accounting purposes Handle payroll tax calculations, filings, and reporting in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements Collaborate with human resources to manage employee onboarding, terminations, and changes affecting payroll data Support audits by providing detailed reports on payroll transactions, benefits administration, and tax documentation Maintain confidentiality of all payroll information while ensuring data entry accuracy and timely processing Experience Proven experience in payroll processing within a corporate accounting or finance environment Familiarity with accounting software including QuickBooks or similar financial tools Understanding of employment & labor law as well as tax law related to payroll processing Experience with spreadsheets (Excel), account reconciliation, double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation Ability to analyze financial data accurately while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting Prior work handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism Knowledge of benefits administration processes and non-profit or federal governmental accounting is a plus Join us if you're passionate about delivering precise payroll services that support our team's success! Pay:
