Job Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Grow existing customer relationships and acquire new ones through consistent sales execution, effective lead management, and proactive cross selling of banking products and services.
Deliver exceptional customer service aligned with the bank's mission statement by engaging clients with professionalism, friendliness, and deep product expertise. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all bank products and services; educate customers, handle complex transactions, manage intricate account relationships, and train colleagues on complex processes as needed. Performs other duties on behalf of or in absence of management.
Build trust with customers by presenting a confident and professional demeanor; assess financial needs and recommend tailored banking solutions to meet short and long term goals.
Conduct in-person customer consultations to identify opportunities and maximize sales; open new accounts including checking, savings, CDs, and IRAs; discuss and offer loan products; and promote digital banking solutions including online and mobile banking. Achieve customer service quality standards while participating in and overseeing the sales referral process; assist management in coaching branch staff to improve sales effectiveness and customer experience. Perform all customer transactions efficiently using teller and platform technology; maintain and balance a cash drawer; and operate cash machines such as teller scanners, cash recyclers, cash dispensers, and coin machines. Serve as Vault Teller by managing branch cash levels, ordering and shipping currency/coin, and distributing cash to tellers within established limits; act as sole supervisor in the absence of the Branch Banking Leader when required. Support community engagement and CRA initiatives by participating in local events and community programs such as Habitat for Humanity. Report significant matters, issues, or unusual customer activity to management; maintain a strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements.
Adhere to the bank's Code of Conduct and all internal policies and procedures, ensuring operational and compliance standards are consistently met.
Required Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to write correspondence and appropriately and accurately demonstrate products and services to customers.
Excellent interpersonal - customer service skills, attentiveness, information retention, tact and diplomacy in dealing with both customers and employees.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills to effectively uncover and resolve complex customer issues.
Ability to make sound decisions which include making on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions; weighing customer satisfaction issues with the Bank exposure to loss or fraud and the ability to think through and rationalize decisions.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or scheduled form.
Provides deep understanding of Retail Banking and strong Customer Service Skills with the ability to engage customers in conversation regarding products and services.
Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, and high degree of accuracy. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient computer skills.
Required Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of branch banking experience with strong platform sales experience.
Preferred Experience:
Associates or Bachelor's degree with concentration in accounting, business, finance, economics or a related field.
FIS/IBS (Integrated Banking Solutions).
