Universal Banker Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED One to two years related experience Experienced in writing routine reports and correspondence Communication skills Experience calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Knowledge of Word Processing, Spreadsheet and Database Software, as well as Human Resource Systems.
Summary:
Responsible for delivery of quality service while adhering to corporate, regulatory, and audit guidelines. Provide timely and efficient completion of client transactions while maintaining accurate records and thorough proper handling of all monies assigned. Proactively participate in the sales/quality referral process of the branch and engage clients in conversation as directed by management.
Responsibilities:
Perform accurate transactions, greeting the client, using the clients name during the transaction, and thanking each client for his or her business. Refer clients to other branch team members and specialists as needed. Perform the transactions of a paying and receiving teller such as accepting deposits and loan payments, verifying cash and endorsements, cashing checks within limits and obtaining further authorization when necessary, issuing money orders, Cashier's checks, and redeeming savings bonds. Open new accounts and perform account maintenance as necessary. Achieves sales goals by identifying and cross-selling products and services beneficial to customers. Listen to customers needs to determine appropriate product and services. Identify new banking customers and grow relationships with existing customers through social interactions within the store along with outbound calls, marketing displays and other prospecting techniques. Practices branch security procedures and protects customer confidentiality and privacy. Follows company policies as directed to assure proper records are maintained and losses prevented. Other duties may be assigned.
