Job Description

Pan American Bank & Trust is seeking a Universal Banker to join our Melrose Park office. In this client-facing role, you'll build relationships, provide exceptional service, open and service accounts, perform teller transactions, and help clients find the banking solutions that meet their needs. Essential Duties :
Provide exceptional, relationship-focused service to clients in person, by phone, and through other communication channels. Build and maintain client relationships by understanding financial needs and recommending appropriate Bank products and services, including deposit accounts, digital banking, treasury management, and lending solutions. Open, close, and service consumer and business accounts while ensuring required documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with Bank policies and procedures. Perform teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, and other routine banking transactions. Maintain and balance a cash drawer and assist with vault, coin, and other branch balancing responsibilities as needed. Assist clients with account maintenance, digital banking services, debit cards, wires, and other banking products and services. Proactively follow up with clients to support onboarding, resolve service needs, strengthen relationships, and identify additional business opportunities. Support daily branch operations while following established operational controls, security procedures, regulatory requirements, and Bank policies. Participate in community outreach, Bank events, and business development activities that strengthen relationships and generate new business opportunities. Work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to provide clients with a seamless banking experience. Assist at other Bank offices as staffing and business needs require. Consistently demonstrate professionalism, integrity, accountability, and the Bank's commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience.
Qualifications:
High School Degree or equivalent, College degree or coursework preferred in business, finance or accounting. Minimum of one (1) year cash handling/balancing experience required. Strong basic math and analytical skills. Ability to build solid, long-term relationships through strong communication skills. Ability to quickly adapt to different environments, and unpredictable situations. Detail oriented, able to multi-task.
