A Personal Banker works for a bank to sell bank services to individual clients. Promotes different account options, loans or other services to customers that have assets or deposits in that bank.
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Operations / E-Banking Specialist to join our financial services team. The Operations / Electronic Banking Specialist provides support to all areas of the bank and performs a wide variety of duties in the Operations Department. In addition to many daily duties, the Operations / Electronic Banking Specialist, solves, and answers complex customer transactions, problems, or inquiries and is the expert in online banking, cash management, mobile banking, remote deposit, bill payments, debit card disputes, debit card fraud, ACH transactions, wire transfers, and all other electronic banking systems. This position will have regular contact with customers, employees, Jack Henry, and the correspondent bank to ensure all transactions and cash letters are in balance, all daily reports and activities are timely and accurate, and customers are able to use the bank's electronic banking systems. Pay is based upon previous experience. Previous Operations experience preferred. Previous banking experience required. Duties Performs various ACH functions, including: originations, returns, balancing, NOC's, reporting, and NACHA audits. Processes incoming and outgoing, domestic and international wires transfers. Reviews and resolves proof differences.
Reconciles various accounts:
WIP accounts, Cashier's Checks, Bill Pay, UBB, Redeemed Savings Bond, etc. Processes Fed Returns. Processes Return Transmittal. Reviews/processes various report.
Including:
unposted items, stop/holds, and large items. Deposits foreign checks to UBB. Reviews and manages debit card fraud alerts (FRIS Alerts), Auth Blocking, etc. Reviews potential OFAC matches. Verifies end of day UNET activity. Resolves errors in posting. Prints and mails/distributes a variety of notices and reports. Assists with ATM processing and troubleshooting. Processes card disputes Assists customers with Internet banking, cash management, mobile banking, remote deposit, bill pay, etc. Assists with fraud detection, prevention, and mitigation. Provide support for e-wallets, card tokenization, etc. Lead Operations Department in processing ACH transactions and audit. Stay abreast of all UMACHA and NACHA rules and changes. Assists with account maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, address changes, closing accounts, and CD maintenance. Performs internal audit activities/duties as directed. Assists with various projects assigned including, but not limited to, providing telephone coverage, scanning documents, conducting research, and reviewing reports. Assists others in the department/organization as needed and/or directed. Perform other duties as assigned.
Customer Service Responsibilities:
Assist internal and external customers with resolution of account problems and issues by phone, email, or in person. Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction with their banking relationship. Participate in branch cross-sell and sales goals. Responsible for listening and referring phone customers to the appropriate staff for additional financial products and services (deposits, loans, etc.). Knowledge and understanding of the products and services the bank offers. Recommend that a customer use bank services such as automatic deposits, ATMs, internet banking, mobile banking, direct deposit and the like. Perform other duties as assigned. Stay abreast of all UMACHA and NACHA rules and changes. Assists with account maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, address changes, closing accounts, and CD maintenance. Education and Professional Skills:
High school degree required. 3 years of banking experience or 2 years of Operations experience preferred. Capable of operating computer, telephone, copier, scanner etc. Must be skilled in Microsoft Office. Must understand basic accounting functions and know how to use those skills in bank applications. Excellent phone etiquette and people skills. Able to communicate thoughts clearly, both orally and written to both customers and staff. Ability to process transactions and perform reconciliation duties with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency. Ability to prioritize workload. Willingness to be a team player. Able to listen and relate to customers in a positive, energetic manner /empathetic to customer problems / understand customer needs and the elements of customer service. Professionally represent
