The Flex Personal Banker plays a vital role in delivering exceptional client service and supporting branch operations across multiple locations. This adaptable position requires traveling up to 1 hour from your home bank office to provide coverage where needed. Responsibilities include a blend of Teller and Personal Banker duties, account opening, conflict resolution, and building long-lasting client relationships. You will demonstrate operational excellence, ensure compliance with applicable regulations, and quickly pivot to meet the needs of clients and the bank. Responsibilities and Expectations 1. Build Client Relationships- Conduct professional client conversations that build and sustain trust and credibility.
- Discover key life events to ensure bank products and services meet clients' financial needs.
- Recommend accounts, loans, and services tailored to clients' goals.
- Proactively promote bank products and services both internally and externally.
- Refer clients to bank partners to generate additional revenue.
- Demonstrate operational soundness to minimize risk and maintain quality production.
- Follow operating procedures and protocols. 2. Deliver a Consistently Superior Client Experience
- Provide excellent customer service, creating a welcoming, professional environment.
- Resolve client issues proactively or as directed by the Bank Manager.
- Handle routine client inquiries, approve transactions within authority limits, and perform Teller duties as needed.
- Process client transactions and assist with bank opening/closing as required. 3. Adaptability and Coverage
- Travel up to 1 hour from your home bank office to support other branches as needed.
- Pivot quickly to cover Teller, Personal Banker, or other roles to meet operational demands.
- Handle escalated customer conflicts with professionalism and efficiency. 4. Demonstrate Compliance with Applicable Laws and Regulations
- Understand and adhere to all applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Information Security, and internal policies.
- Follow proper deposit account opening and suspicious activity referral procedures.
- Actively work with clients to understand normal account activity, ensuring compliance.
- Complete required periodic compliance training.
Required Skills & Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous banking experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Windows-based computer systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation for travel and flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
