New Accounts/Branch Operations Job Requirements and Responsibilities:
Provides general bank operational support to bank and home office. Performs account reconciliations. Sells cashier's checks, gift cards, pre-paid cards and money orders. Answers questions in person or on telephone and refer customers to other bank services as necessary. Records transactions by logging cashier's checks and other special services; preparing currency transaction reports. Cross sells bank products by answering inquiries, informing customers of new services and product promotions, ascertaining customers' needs, and directing customers to a branch representative. Completes special requests by opening and closing accounts, taking orders for checks, exchanging foreign currencies, completing safe-deposit box procedures, and providing special statements, copies, and referrals. Complies with bank operations and security procedures by participating in all dual-control functions, auditing other tellers' currency, and assisting in certification of proof. Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Open new accounts and assist customers. Explains bank products and services, including savings, checking accounts and COD.'s Other duties as assigned. Wages DOE. Physical Requirements:
Must be able to type, use computer systems, read, and write. May need to be able to lift up-to 50 pounds at a time. Use hands, fingers and have dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, calculator, 10-key, telephone and other necessary equipment. Ability to reach with hands and arms, walk, stand, sit, kneel, and crouch. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift and carry files, documents, teller drawer, coin, etc.
