Job Description

The Payment Services Specialist I is responsible for performing a variety of duties in the Payment Services department, including processing incoming and outgoing ACH and/or wire transactions.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Processes high volumes of incoming and outgoing ACH or wire transactions. Corresponds with Bank personnel to ensure that escalated customer inquiries and issues are researched and addressed accurately and in a timely manner. Provides customer support to both internal and external partners and assists in handling customer support issues. Exhibits basic understanding of the Federal Regulations that govern Wire Transfer or ACH transactions and required timeframes for end-of-day borrowing and balancing. Exhibits basic working knowledge of fraud and anti-money laundering regulations.
Non-Essential Functions:
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma, or equivalent, required. 1-2 years' bank operations experience in ACH or wires, or 2-3 years' experience in retail banking or financial institution customer service, or 3-5 years' similar work experience, required. Experience with Jack Henry Products, preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Meticulous data entry accuracy and attention to detail. Experience using office equipment and software programs, such as Microsoft Office, and financial services databases. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to work with detailed information in an efficient and accurate manner, while meeting established deadlines.
