Job Description

This position is part of the Card Services department within our Bank Operations group. Card Services is primarily responsible for managing the dispute process for debit card transactions, ensuring MidFirst complies with Regulation E and the card network requirements. Critical daily tasks in the department include, but are not limited to, processing disputes, providing telephone and email support to internal and external customers regarding debit and prepaid card issues, performing risk mitigation activities surrounding card issuance and maintenance exceptions, and working internally with critical partners (Visa, MasterCard, FIS, Datacard, etc.) to ensure the bank is using all available tools effectively and efficiently to operate successfully.
Position Requirements:
1-3 years banking experience or college degree preferred Consistently perform in a volume driven environment where workload fluctuates, but deadlines stay the same and service levels must be met Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively on the phone and through email to internal customers and business partners Strong work ethic, critical thinking, and problem solving skills with attention to detail Ability to escalate issues and concerns appropriately Ability to perform specific tasks independently and with a high degree of reliability Ability to use standard computer software (MS Outlook, MS Excel) and quickly learn to navigate and operate job-specific software and web-based applications Experience with CentrixDTS and/or dispute processing is preferred In addition, the position is expected to read, reference, interpret, and develop written departmental procedures, cross train on department tasks, make suggestions to correct or enhance existing processes, and take advantage of available opportunities to develop a deeper understanding of applicable regulations, operational compliance, and the banking industry to support career development and growth.
