JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of high-quality transaction processing, account servicing, and support for both consumer and commercial clients. This role serves as a core member of the banking center team, ensuring that all branch responsibilities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with bank policy. This role is designed to grow in scope over time as the Texas client service model continues to evolve.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Branch Service & Transaction Execution (50%) Develops and maintains working knowledge of banking products, services, and client needs to support the evolving Texas client service model. Executes daily banking center transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing with accuracy and efficiency. Opens, maintains, and services deposit accounts in accordance with regulatory and bank requirements. Handles in-branch client interactions and ensures complete service needs in real time aligned with banking center expectations. Maintains cash drawer and balance transactions in accordance with established procedures. Follows all banking center opening and closing procedures. Performs daily operational activities including cash handling, audits, and required reporting. Ensures adherence to dual control, audit standards, and branch security protocols. Maintains awareness of fraud indicators and follows escalation procedures when needed. Supports banker-led client relationship activities across Texas portfolios; including but not limited to facilitating client requests and relationship support activities. Account Servicing & Operational Support (30%) Completes routine and complex account maintenance requests for consumer and commercial clients. Executes service requests including transfers, wires, check orders, account updates, and other servicing activities. Collects and validates documentation required for account maintenance and client servicing. Partners with commercial bankers, treasury, lending, operations, and other internal teams to support client needs. Assists with preparation and follow-up related to commercial client activities and servicing requests. Ensures clients receive responsive, accurate, and seamless service while maintaining compliance with policy and procedure. Role Expansion & Continuous Improvement (20%) Supports the Texas Client Experience and Market Operations Lead Ensures client and internal requests are carried full‑circle from intake to resolution without fragmentation Delivers a consistent, timely, and accountable client service experience regardless of entry point into the organization Coordinates the movement of requests through appropriate processing paths (routing, approvals, documentation, and operational queues) to prevent client disruption, delays, or rework Demonstrates openness to expanded responsibilities as the Union Branch service model evolves. Participates in process improvements to enhance efficiency and client experience. Provides feedback on operational workflows and service gaps. Supports adoption of new tools, processes, and service approaches. Performs other duties as required and assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of banking products and services. Knowledge of banking compliance with federal and state regulations. Proficient skills utilizing banking systems, including transaction processing, new accounts/loans and related programs. Ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or services. Skills in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Skills in deescalating customer situations. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Strong service mindset and ability to resolve issues with appropriate urgency and professionalism Strong organizational and prioritization skills; ability to manage multiple concurrent requests while maintaining accuracy and transparency Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word) and comfort using shared inboxes and trackers Ability to obtain Notary Public in applicable state if necessary. Ability to maintain the highest level of ethics and integrity, ensuring the confidentiality and security of sensitive information. Ability to complete the required training by assigned due date. Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance.
EDUCATION
• Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 3 years of banking center or client service experience, including at least 1 year of account servicing, transaction processing, or operational support experience, required. Equivalent education and experience will be considered
