We firmly believe the key to our success lies in maintaining an exceptional team. Summary Supports daily bank operations by performing both Teller and Customer Service Representative functions. Delivers a unique customer experience by providing outstanding customer service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Teller Functions:
- Engages customers in conversation to understand their banking needs and identify service opportunities.
- Processes deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other financial transactions efficiently and accurately
- Maintains and balances cash drawer daily, adhering to security and compliance standards. Reports any discrepancies to the supervisor in accordance with Teller Policy
- Balances and adds currency to automated teller machines in accordance with Bank policy
- Completes CTR transactions and wire transfers
- Identifying, recording, and reporting fraudulent activity to prevent potential losses
- Performs branch opening and closing duties as scheduled and in line with security and dual control requirements
- Ensures Teller and branch daily operations and maintenance transactions are completed in an efficient and accurate manner
- Places holds on checks as deemed necessary to prevent potential losses to the bank and our customers
- Other duties may include, but are not limited to: working the commercial lane, ordering Fed cash, balancing the vault, and processing night depository
- In addition to standard teller responsibilities, a Personal Banker is entrusted with enhanced authority and responsibilities due to demonstrated experience and the ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment.
Customer Service Functions:
- Open new accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, and IRAs, ensuring all required documentation is collected and regulatory requirements are met.
- Assist with a variety of banking services, including (but not limited to) debit card requests, safe deposit box access, check orders, account updates, mobile banking, and wires.
- Support customers with day-to-day needs, from answering questions about their accounts to helping them navigate our full range of products and services.
- Engage with customers to build relationships, identify financial needs and opportunities, and refer appropriate products and services.
- Proactively educate customers about banking products and services, including training on self-service options like mobile, online, and ATM solutions. Qualifications & Required Skills
- Strong math, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Professional demeanor with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Windows
- Exhibit strong work ethic and integrity
- Excellent customer service skills Preferred Experiences
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cash handling and customer service experience preferred
- Previous banking experience preferred
