Job Summary We are seeking a Customer Engagement
  • Banking professional for a direct hire Relationship Banker opportunity in Seattle, WA.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building trusted client relationships, providing consultative financial guidance, and supporting both consumer and business banking clients in a professional branch environment. As a Relationship Banker, you will play an important role in creating a positive client experience while identifying banking solutions that align with each client's goals. This opportunity offers a collaborative team environment, supportive branch leadership, community-focused client interaction, and a strong path for continued growth within retail banking and financial services. This is a union-represented position through the Communications Workers of America, CWA. Key Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with new and existing consumer and business banking clients through consultative conversations and proactive follow-up.
  • Identify client needs and recommend appropriate banking products, services, referrals, and financial solutions.
  • Develop new business through outreach to prospective clients, local businesses, community partners, and referral sources.
  • Deliver a welcoming and professional client experience while helping resolve questions, concerns, and service needs.
  • Support branch operations, including teller transactions, cash handling, documentation, safe deposit access, and compliance procedures.
  • Follow all bank policies and applicable regulatory requirements, including BSA/AML, Fair Lending, privacy, and anti-discrimination standards. Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $55,000 to $78,000 per year.

  • Develop and grow client relationships within consumer and business banking.
  • Provide needs-based banking recommendations and referral support.
  • Support branch service, teller activity, cash handling, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow banking compliance requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Approximately 3 years of relevant experience in retail banking, financial services, customer service, sales, cash handling, or a similar client-facing environment.
  • Strong relationship-building, customer service, and consultative communication skills.
  • Ability to initiate conversations, identify sales opportunities, and develop business through client outreach.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities accurately.
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative branch team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
  • Ability to follow bank policies and applicable state and federal banking regulations.
  • A valid driver's license and appropriately insured vehicle may be required if driving is necessary for assigned responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous retail banking or financial services experience.
  • Experience in a relationship-based sales or financial sales role.
  • Knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services.
  • Experience with branch operations, teller support, and banking procedures.
  • Familiarity with banking regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven success with cross-selling, referrals, business development, client retention, or community outreach.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
  • Experience reviewing financial or credit information.
