RtbztF About Us:
Evergreen works with owner-operated businesses (typically $10M to $100M in revenue) to strengthen their financial health, tighten operations, and build a company that can run and grow without the owner in the room. We do this through a structured advisory framework and a recurring engagement cadence — not one-off strategy sessions. About the Role You'll be the central advisor standing beside our business-owning clients — running structured engagements, tracking progress cycle over cycle, and coordinating with the professionals already in their orbit (CPAs, attorneys, bankers, brokers). What You'll Actually Do Run client engagements inside our proprietary framework: assess where a business is strong or weak, prioritize what matters most, and structure recurring push cycles to drive it forward. Ask the diagnostic questions that surface what an owner hasn't said yet — we don't take self-reports at face value, and we don't expect our advisors to either. Push back when something's genuinely at risk, even if the client wants to move past it. We'd rather you hold the line than stay agreeable. Maintain working relationships with the client's CPA, attorney, banker, and other advisors, and translate their technical input into something the owner can actually act on. Stay active between meetings — checking in with the client's related professionals, digging into the specifics of their business, and pulling together research to move a problem forward before the next session, not just showing up to discuss it. The role is in office, with a few possible travel dates throughout the year to connect with any of your out-of state clients What We're Looking For A genuine appetite for continuous learning. A strong foundation of experience gets you in the door, but owners expect you to be conversant across every part of their business — there's no ceiling on what you'll need to pick up as you go. Self-driven and organized enough to thrive with minimal oversight. We're a small team, which means real freedom in how you run your day — and real ownership of the results. Real experience running a structured, recurring client engagement — EOS Implementer, Scaling Up coach, boutique advisory/consulting background, or something with an equivalent cadence and rigor. Working fluency in financial and operational fundamentals — cash flow, debt, capital structure — enough to evaluate tradeoffs in real time. (CPAs, bankers, and attorneys with strong client-facing instincts are welcome, but this isn't a technical-specialist role — it's an advisory one.) Comfort holding a framework in your head and applying it flexibly, not mechanically — you're translating a system to fit a specific business, not running a script. A track record of pushing back productively on clients, not just facilitating conversation. Strong written communication, with real range depending on who's reading it. What This Role Isn't This role is primarily client-facing advisory, not business development. You're not acting as the client's attorney or CPA of record. You'll flag legal or tax risk and loop in the right professional — not resolve it yourself. Why Evergreen Work directly with business owners on the decisions that actually shape their company's future — growth, risk, exit, and everything in between. You'll have a proven framework behind you, real autonomy in how you apply it, and a firm that expects you to bring judgment, not just process.
