Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and driven Wealth Management Investment Advisor (IAR) to provide personalized investment guidance and financial strategies to our wealth management and financial planning clients. Ideal candidate will be able to help manage an existing $100 million book of clients while also able to generate leads and develop their own personal book of business. This role is ideal for someone who is not only skilled at managing and nurturing existing client relationships but also thrives on prospecting and building new ones.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their financial goals, needs, and preferences. Provide expert investment advice and financial planning services tailored to each client. Regularly meet with clients to assess financial goals and review their investment portfolio
Investment Strategy and Portfolio Management:
Develop and implement personalized investment strategies based on clients' objectives, risk profiles, and market conditions. Conduct thorough research on market trends, economic data, and investment opportunities. Monitor and manage client portfolios to ensure alignment with investment goals. Rebalance portfolios as needed based on market performance and changes in clients' financial situations.
Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with all industry regulations, including SEC, FINRA, and other relevant governing bodies. Advise clients on tax-efficient investing strategies and help them avoid unnecessary risk. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial products and regulatory changes.
Sales and Business Development:
Identify new business opportunities and build a client base through referrals, networking, and outreach. Participate in marketing initiatives to promote investment services and increase brand visibility.
Financial Education and Guidance:
Educate clients on investment options, market trends, and financial products. Provide clear, actionable financial advice to help clients make informed decisions. Stay current on industry trends, new financial products, and investment strategies.
Required Qualifications:
Licenses/Certifications:
Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Series 65 license is typically required. Additional certifications such as Series 7 or Series 66 may be preferred.
Experience:
3+ years of experience as an investment advisor, financial planner, or related field. Proven track record of managing client portfolios and delivering consistent investment results.
Skills and Attributes:
Strong understanding of investment strategies, portfolio management, and financial markets. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients. Ability to interpret financial data, market trends, and economic forecasts. High ethical standards and integrity, with a focus on providing client-centric advice. Proficiency with financial planning tools and advisor platforms is highly valued, including Microsoft Excel, eMoney, Charles Schwab's advisor platform, and Black Diamond.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with financial planning software and client relationship management (CRM) tools. An advanced degree (MBA, MS in Finance) is a plus.
