Establish and execute sales plan to convey UMB's investment process and products to targeted prospects and clients. Develop and build long term relationships with prospective clients. Partner with all members of service team to assist clients to achieve and/or exceed defined long-term objectives. Other duties as assigned. Products include, but not limited to: mutual funds, variable and fixed insurance products, CDs, UITs, fixed income and equity securities, managed accounts such as mutual fund wrap accounts, SMAs, UMAs, affiliated IA programs and investment advisory and trust accounts managed by
UMB Bank Requirements MINIMUM:
7 years financial advisor or investment sales experience College Degree or equivalent experience
Licenses:
FINRA Series 7, 63, 65 or 66. State Life and Health Insurance or obtained within 120 days of employment Clean U-4 Knowledge of FINRA, SEC, state & federal laws/regulations.
PREFERRED
CFP, CIMA Knowledge & Skills MINIMUM:
Knowledge of the financial planning process including securities and trading, life insurance and annuity products, IRA's and basic estate and tax planning concepts. Ability to assess appropriate risk level for the client Communication and presentation skills to communicate to a broad range of prospects/clients Ability to manage client relationship and sales process Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Thompson 1/Streetscape, Financial Planning Tools
PREFERRED
Knowledge of UMBFC or investment products and services Ability to lead, leverage, influence and partner with team members' strengths in areas of the sales cycle and relationship management. Good organizational and management skills ( coaching, teaching, supervisory) Active in community and profressional organizations. Development Resources License & certifications as needed Department colleagues & materials Sales Conference Wealth Mgmt Professional Development Sales Essentials & Professional Development Work Environment Typical office environment. Travel required 10% in assigned territory.
