Job Description

PAR Wealth Advisory Group, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC, is a multigenerational firm based in Norwell, Massachusetts. For nearly 35 years, we have helped individuals, families, and business owners pursue their financial goals through personalized financial planning and disciplined investment management. Beyond serving our own clients, we have coached hundreds of financial advisors nationwide on building more efficient, scalable, and successful practices. We are growing, and we are adding Associate Financial Advisors to our team. This role is designed for financial services professionals who are ready to take the next step toward becoming a lead advisor, and who want to do it inside a firm that has the clients, the systems, and the mentorship to help them get there. We are selective about who joins PAR. We are looking for driven, high-character people who want to build something meaningful over the long term and grow alongside us. Why PAR A real path to lead advisor. Our goal is for you to begin managing client relationships and conducting client meetings independently within approximately 6 to 18 months. Clients and growth on day one. Receive client assignments from the firm while also building and growing your own natural market. Mentorship that matters. Learn and use PAR's goal-based planning process, including the tools and client deliverables we have refined over decades. Investment in your growth. What You'll Do Responsibilities will evolve as you grow and as the needs of the practice change, and may include additional duties as assigned. Client Relationship Management & Financial Planning | approx. 60% Join senior advisors in client meetings, then progressively lead client reviews and follow-up conversations Prepare and deliver financial plans, retirement analyses, and investment recommendations Develop a deep understanding of each client's goals, concerns, and objectives Build and maintain long-term client relationships Document client interactions and maintain accurate CRM records Coordinate with custodians, insurance carriers, and other professionals involved in client planning Business Development & Growth | approx. 20% Cultivate relationships within your personal and professional network Develop and execute a strategy to grow your natural market, with support from senior advisors Represent PAR at networking events, seminars, community outreach initiatives, and client appreciation events Help identify, meet, and onboard prospective clients Collaborate with senior advisors on referral and growth opportunities Operations & Practice Management | approx. 20% Support the implementation of planning and investment recommendations, including account openings, transfers, and service requests Maintain client files and records according to firm and regulatory requirements Uphold compliance, regulatory, and ethical standards in everything you do Work closely with advisors and support staff to deliver an exceptional client experience Who We're Looking For The right person for this role: Has a genuine passion for helping clients achieve their financial goals Builds trust quickly and communicates with professionalism and confidence Is self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and takes ownership of results Is highly organized, detail-oriented, and manages time well Works well independently while contributing to a team environment Is coachable, welcomes feedback, and is committed to continuous learning Holds themselves to the highest ethical standards Wants a long-term career as a financial advisor and is excited to build it with PAR Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree 1 to 3 years of experience in the financial services industry, such as wealth management, financial planning, banking, insurance, or investments Preferred Series 7 and Series 66 licenses (candidates willing to obtain licensing will also be considered) CFP®, ChFC®, or other industry designations (a plus, but not required) Experience with financial planning software and CRM systems What We Offer Competitive base salary plus incentive and performance-based compensation A clear path toward becoming a lead financial advisor Client assignments from the firm and the ability to build your own client base Mentorship from experienced advisors in a collaborative team environment Exam cost reimbursement for advanced designations (e.g., CFP®, APMA®, ChFC®) once passed Licensing support and ongoing professional development Long-term career advancement opportunities with a multigenerational firm
