Job SummaryThe Senior Associate, Finance & Investments will serve as the financial and execution backbone of UFP Ventures. The role supports the full investment lifecycle, including opportunity evaluation, financial modeling, due diligence, Investment Committee preparation, transaction execution, portfolio reporting, valuation, and performance analysis. The Senior Associate will also help establish scalable, AI-enabled processes that allow a lean investment team to operate effectively.

Location:

Grand Rapids, Detroit, Philadelphia, or St. Louis preferred. Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesFinancial due diligence to support the UFP investment process; find market comps, and support deal executionSupport Principals in deal flow process to include: sourcing/direct outreach to prospective investments, screening and evaluating, CRM management, and due diligenceBuild financial models to assess valuation and forecast financial returns of investmentsDevelop and maintain AI-enabled workflows, templates, and documented processes that improve the speed, consistency, and quality of investment research, diligence, portfolio reporting, and team operationsWork directly with portfolio companies, as needed, to support their financial, accounting, hiring, manufacturing, and/or sales operationsProactively identify emerging financial distress and performance risks across portfolio companies through financial reviews, standardized reporting, and ad hoc analysisPerform portfolio financial valuation semi-annuallyCoordinate all processes with the UFP financial department to include closing deals, collecting legal fee reimbursements, and reporting on an ongoing basisManage the investment committee workflowSupport M&A financial diligence, as needed QualificationsBA in Business, Finance, Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or related technical scienceEnglish language fluency is mandatory. Other languages are desirableAt least 3 years of experience in ventures, entrepreneurship, M&A, finance, and/or strategyDemonstrated experience building complex financial models and analyzing investment opportunitiesTechnical, commercial, innovation, and/or sales experience in construction a plusEffectively and regularly communicate business performance and status to senior management The Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
