Job Description

Build exceptional plans. Help shape a firm. Earn a path to ownership. Boyum Wealth Architects is one of the fastest-growing RIAs in the Midwest. We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Planner who wants more than a seat on an established platform. This is an opportunity to join a growth-stage firm, serve sophisticated clients, influence how we scale, and build toward meaningful long-term career and ownership potential. Real growth and real runway. Join a firm with strong momentum, expanding client relationships, and room for ambitious people to grow with it. Integrated advice that stands apart. Our alignment with a long-standing, well respected CPA firm creates uncommon access to tax and business advisory expertise. A team-based model. Work alongside CFP® and CFA® professionals, CPAs, attorneys, insurance specialists, and other experts. High-touch client relationships. Serve high-net-worth families, business owners, executives, and busy professionals who value comprehensive, thoughtful guidance. A path to ownership. For the right long-term contributor, career progression can extend beyond title and compensation. What You Will Own Lead comprehensive planning. Gather and analyze client data, develop and refine plans in eMoney, model alternatives, and turn recommendations into clear priorities. Drive the client experience. Prepare for and participate in client meetings, communicate complex ideas clearly, capture decisions, and ensure follow-through. Coordinate across specialties. Partner with investment, tax, estate, insurance, and business advisory professionals so recommendations work together. Manage relationships with judgment. Anticipate needs, identify planning opportunities, maintain trust, and help clients navigate consequential financial decisions. Raise the standard. Improve planning workflows, templates, documentation, and service practices. Contribute beyond the job description. Bring ideas, take ownership, mentor others, and help build the next version of Boyum Wealth Architects. What You Bring 5+ years of relevant experience in financial planning, wealth management, or an RIA environment, with meaningful client-facing responsibility. CFP® certification required Strong planning fluency. You can connect retirement, tax, estate, insurance, cash flow, investment, and business-owner considerations into one coherent strategy. Confident client communication. You build trust, explain tradeoffs, and help clients move from analysis to decisions. Operational discipline. You are organized, accurate, responsive, and serious about follow-through. Comfort with technology. Experience with eMoney is strongly preferred, along with the ability to learn and improve modern advisory workflows. Series 65 or qualifying designation preferred. A builder's mindset. You are energized by growth, comfortable with change, and motivated by the chance to influence a firm rather than simply inherit a role. If you want to join a fast-growing, planning-first RIA where strong performance can lead to greater responsibility, leadership, and potential ownership, we would like to hear from you.
