We are seeking a full-time Financial Counselor for medical billing to join our Central Billing Office team. Wage Range DOE In this position you will: Review accounts and determine if payers have made appropriate payments Identify delinquent self-pay accounts, perform various collection actions including contacting patients by phone and follow company collection policies Evaluate patient financial status and establish budget payment plans when appropriate Answer inquiries and correspondence from patients and insurance companies Identifies and resolves patient billing complaints through review of account, researching credit balances, etc. Must have understanding of insurance contracts. Comply with the HIPAA Privacy and Security Regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent Previous medical insurance billing experience in a healthcare organization preferred or equivalent combination of experience and education in a medical insurance billing program. The successful candidate will be subject to a background check.
