Summary The Senior Financial Advisor serves as a primary client relationship manager who works independently to grow and deepen client relationships while driving the firm's growth. Leading with our core values, they own a full book of business, mentor junior advisors, and identify opportunities that benefit clients. Using our holistic and consultative planning process, the Senior Advisor independently manages the full arc of the client relationship — from prospecting through ongoing advisory support — to deliver comprehensive planning outcomes. This individual mentors and partners with junior advisors, delegating and overseeing their work to build the team's capacity while maintaining direct accountability for client outcomes. Success in this role requires a planning-first mindset, strong business development instincts, and the ability to lead both clients and internal team members with minimal oversight. Responsibilities Client Relationship Management & Advisory Leadership (40-60%) Serve as the lead advisor for an assigned book of clients, independently managing the full financial planning and investment relationship. Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive financial plans aligned with client goals, values, and life stages. Lead client review meetings, including preparation, presentation, and follow-up, with minimal oversight. Exercise independent judgment to recommend adjustments to portfolios, planning assumptions, and progress toward goals. Coordinate with internal team and external partners across tax, estate planning, insurance, and retirement plan consulting to deliver holistic planning advice. Serve as an escalation point for complex client needs and planning scenarios. Ensure all client interactions, recommendations, and documentation meet fiduciary, compliance, and regulatory standards. Stay current on market trends, regulatory updates, and industry best practices, and share insights with the broader team. Team Leadership & Mentorship (10-20%) Mentor and delegate to junior advisors and support staff, reviewing their work and coaching them to build planning and client-service skills. Lead training for team members on firm systems, processes, client service protocols, and best practices. Drive process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, scalability, and consistency across the advisory practice. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure consistency, compliance, and excellence across all client touchpoints. Business Development & Growth (20-35%) Leading with our purpose and core values, independently drive firm growth through expansion of existing client relationships, referral cultivation, and new client acquisition. Build and maintain relationships with centers of influence (e.g., CPAs, attorneys, business owners, retirement plan sponsors) to support long-term pipeline development, and introduce COIs to BCA for ongoing partnership. Lead prospect meetings, discovery conversations, and proposal presentations using a consultative, goals-based approach rooted in core values. Own outreach strategies, educational events, networking opportunities, client engagement initiatives, and thought leadership efforts. Identify and lead opportunities to introduce additional planning, investment, or retirement solutions that align with client needs and firm capabilities. Skills & Abilities 8+ years experience in financial advisory, private client services, or a closely related financial services role. Active FINRA Series 7 and 63, 65, and/or 66 licenses required.
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER
™ (CFP®) designation required, or near completion. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). Demonstrated track record of independently managing client relationships and driving business development results. Demonstrated commitment to goals-based financial planning and fiduciary client service. Proven ability to mentor and develop junior team members. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client relationships, projects, and deadlines with minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with financial planning tools (e.g., eMoney) and CRM systems.
