Job Description

Somewhere along the way, "financial advisor" started meaning "full-time prospector who occasionally gives advice." Not here. We built Asset Preservation Wealth & Tax on education: The Asset Preservation Hour, seminars, workshops, and retirement content that bring pre-retirees and retirees to us already wanting the conversation. Our Portland/Lake Oswego market now has more demand than advisor capacity, and that's the problem you solve. If you can lead a household from discovery to a funded decision — and you're tired of manufacturing your own calendar — this is the seat we built for you. What you'll do Meet with pre-retirees and retirees who found us through our media, seminars, workshops, and digital presence — not through a cold list you build alone. Lead discovery, connect investments with retirement income, taxes, Social Security, estate coordination, and protection, and present one integrated recommendation. Answer the hard questions, ask for the business, and carry accepted decisions through a clean implementation handoff. Own the relationship and follow-through while planning, tax, estate, insurance, new-business, and operations teams work behind you. What you get First-year total compensation of $120,000-$300,000 — a significant base salary plus a percentage of the revenue you generate, with growing ownership in your work over time through our vesting structure. An education-led demand engine and an established Portland / Lake Oswego presence, so your week goes to planning, presenting, and closing — not cold outreach. A complete retirement platform — investments, income, taxes, estate coordination, insurance, and annuities — so you're never boxed into one product conversation. Direct access to the people who built the model: Stewart Willis, our president, personally leads fit and training for this seat. Who this is for You've personally closed retirement business and can prove it — your discovery, your recommendation, your ask. You run a plan-first process and will recommend advisory, insurance, or annuity solutions when they're right for the household — and decline them when they're not. You don't need a portable book. You need a platform that keeps you in front of the right people. Who it is not for Pure portfolio managers, AUM-only purists who won't evaluate an appropriate annuity, service advisors who don't want conversion accountability, and lone wolves who want firm-generated opportunities without coaching or shared process. What you need An active Series 65 or Series 66 (or a CFP, CPA, or CFA designation). An active life insurance license. The ability to serve the Portland/Lake Oswego market in person, client-facing. If you're the closer we just described, show us what you've closed — and we'll show you what we've built.
