Job Description

Entry-level, fully in-office position for a recent graduate or early-career candidate with a finance-related bachelor's degree. This is not a remote, administrative assistant, or Financial Advisor position. Please review the location and pay range before applying. Position Overview We are an independent wealth management and investment advisory firm seeking a Financial Planning & Investment Associate to assist with investment research, portfolio management, financial planning, operations, and compliance. This is primarily an analytical and support role rather than a client-facing advisory position. The position provides hands-on exposure to investment analysis, portfolio monitoring, financial planning, wealth management operations, and RIA compliance. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys the analytical side of finance and wants to develop meaningful expertise over time. Responsibilities can grow with experience and demonstrated ability, but this is not being presented as a predefined track to a Financial Advisor position. The ideal candidate is analytical, dependable, detail-oriented, and a natural problem solver who can take ownership of assignments, research unfamiliar issues, and work toward solutions without needing step-by-step direction. Responsibilities Conduct investment, mutual fund, ETF, market, and portfolio research Monitor investment portfolios and identify rebalancing needs Assist with portfolio rebalancing and investment implementation Assist with portfolio analysis and investment reviews Assist with preparation and analysis of financial plans Gather and analyze financial and investment data Assist with retirement and investment planning analysis Assist with RIA compliance monitoring and documentation Research and resolve custodial, account, operational, and technology issues Maintain accurate information within financial planning, investment, and CRM systems Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Financial Planning, Economics, Accounting, or a closely related field required 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred; recent graduates are encouraged to apply Strong interest in investments, financial markets, portfolio management, and financial planning Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow assignments through to completion Strong computer skills and ability to learn financial software and technology Prior wealth management, investment, banking, or financial services experience is helpful but not required Series 65 required. Candidates who do not currently hold the license must be willing and able to obtain it within an agreed-upon timeframe Interest in a stable, long-term role focused primarily on the investment, analytical, and financial planning side of wealth management Compensation & Benefits $22.00-$28.00 per hour, based on qualifications and relevant experience Full-time, hourly position Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) Retirement plan Support for obtaining the Series 65 Training on investment processes, financial planning tools, firm systems, and compliance procedures Candidates should be comfortable with the posted $22.00-$28.00 hourly range and fully in-office requirement before applying.
