Job Description
Provides financial, credit, debt management counseling and education services to patients. Utilizes alternative means for obtaining coverage for uninsured or underinsured patients. Responsible for performing complex insurance verification and eligibility determinations as well as varied administrative and highly responsible clerical functions of a sensitive nature, including complex investigative and problem-solving activities in support of minimizing the hospital's bad debt risk. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Experience 2 years experience as a financial counselor or related role in a healthcare environment Required 5 years experience in a clerical role Required General Experience and knowledge of hospital registration and third party billing and regulations Required General Experience in bi-lingual Spanish and English communication Preferred Licenses
