Responsibilities
- With general guidance, implements and may assist with developing standard advisory solutions to assigned clients and coordinates internal resources necessary to carry out solutions.
- Prepares and/or aids in financial plans for clients within the following areas, including preretirement, retirement, insurance, tax planning, and estate planning.
- Responsible for positioning discretionary management as a means for clients to implement their recommended plans and to realize the full value within the plan.
- Serves as an enrollment specialist to assist qualified clients in their transition from a self-directed relationship to a managed account relationship.
- Must be able to position the value of discretionary management, overcome objections, and redirect clients to other solutions when discretionary management isn't appropriate.
- Applies knowledge to ensure an up-to-date knowledge of and fluency in new capabilities related to investment advice, financial planning, and financial education.
- May assist in identifying opportunities for improvement to present to managers for consideration.
- Responsible for client satisfaction regarding a wide variety of basic solutions managed by advisory services for assigned clients and continues to develop and deepen client relationships using consultative skills and ongoing personalized support and recommendations.
- Serves as a client-facing expert on financial planning, portfolio construction, tax-efficient investing, and other advisory matters.
- Has a basic understanding of how to determine a client's appetite for risk and how that aligns with different advice solutions and how to ensure that the implemented solutions are compliant.
- Escalates potential issues to more senior staff.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
- 2+ years of total relevant work experience
- Previous success in building relationships, uncovering needs, and recommending solutions
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- FINRA Series 7 and 66, or 63/65, licenses
Preferred:
- CFP® designation
- Assistance provided to obtain professional designation
- 5+ years' experience in financial services offering investment management
- Exceptional listening and presentation skills
- Desire to quickly learn and implement new financial tools, technologies, and conversation expectations
- In-depth understanding of retail investment vehicles Training Details
- In-office, 5 days during the initial first 2 weeks of employment for Individual Investors (II) Orientation
- Training schedule is Monday through Friday 8am-5pm Local Time
- Two-weeks of instructor led training (II Orientation); Four
- weeks Advice specific training (4:1 work schedule commences) FINRA Requirements FINRA licenses are required and will be supported for this role. Work Flexibility This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home. Base Salary Ranges Please review the job posting for the location of this specific opportunity. $82,000

- $117,000 for the location of: Washington, D.C. $82,000
- $117,000 for the location of: New York, California This job is eligible for overtime pay.
