full-time Senior Wealth Advisor (CFP®) | Independent RIA McLean, VA | On-site during onboarding, then hybrid | $150,000-$190,000 base salary Are you an experienced Financial Advisor who wants to lead meaningful client relationships, deliver comprehensive planning, and grow within an independent advisory firm? Our client is an independent registered investment advisory firm built on ethics, mutual respect, and integrity. Free from proprietary-product requirements, the team takes a disciplined, long-term approach to wealth management and provides advice tailored to each client's goals. The Opportunity As a Senior Wealth Advisor, you will serve as the lead advisor and primary point of contact for an assigned book of clients. You'll guide planning conversations, present clear recommendations, and work closely with tax, financial-planning, and investment professionals to deliver a high-touch client experience. This is a hands-on, client-facing role for an advisor who enjoys both deepening established relationships and contributing to future growth. What You'll Do Lead relationships with assigned clients and serve as their primary advisor. Conduct client meetings, develop and present comprehensive financial plans, and guide implementation and ongoing reviews. Advise on retirement, tax, estate, education, insurance, investment, and risk-management planning in collaboration with internal specialists. Identify new planning opportunities within existing relationships. Manage client onboarding, transitions, and ongoing service. Guide portfolio construction and investment recommendations. Review planning analyses and recommendations prepared by associate team members. Participate in business-development initiatives, cultivate referral relationships, and contribute to investment-committee discussions. Use financial-planning, CRM, and portfolio-management technology to deliver an organized, responsive client experience. What You Bring CFP® certification in good standing. At least five years of client-facing experience in wealth management, financial planning, investment advisory, or a comparable advisory environment. Demonstrated success leading client meetings and managing ongoing client relationships. Strong knowledge of retirement, tax, estate, investment, insurance, and risk-management planning. Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, and organizational skills. A client-centered approach grounded in integrity, sound judgment, and confidentiality. A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. Ability to work on-site in McLean during onboarding and complete a background check. Additional designations such as

CPA, CFA

®, or EA are a plus, as is experience with financial-planning software, CRM platforms, and portfolio-management tools.

Compensation and Schedule Base salary:

$150,000-$190,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Work location:

McLean, Virginia. This role is on-site M-F for the first 90 days of onboarding, then transitions to a hybrid schedule with two days on-site per week .
