Summary of Position:
The Legacy Solutions Coach role is designed for a professional who has passion and experience working in the mergers and acquisitions function of the financial services industry. This position focuses on assisting Financial Advisors through the complexities of dealmaking, providing thorough guidance on internal succession planning, and contributing to the creation of financial models and legal contracts. Key responsibilities include preparing deliverables, facilitating the conversations between buyers and sellers of a transaction through transition coaching, while maintaining consistent communication with clients and monitoring the status of team projects and initiatives. The role also involves translating complex financial and valuation concepts into clear, advisor-friendly insights that support decision-making. This responsibility ties into aspects of internal succession, equity structuring, and other transactions involved in the role. This position demands a high degree of organizational, analytical, and communication skills. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional capable of delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced environment by identifying effective solutions and remaining composed under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliverable Creation & Case Management (40%) Facilitate the preparation of deliverables, such as term sheets, cash flow models, amortization schedules, memos, reports, presentations, and other relevant materials. This includes reviewing and finalizing all deliverables before completion. Review additional service deliverables, including transaction documents, governance documents, valuations, contracts, and models, to support successful outcomes. Monitor ongoing cases, identify potential issues, and address them promptly. Valuation Strategy & Reviews (20%) Facilitate business valuation meetings by reviewing the data and sharing the findings of each sector of the deliverable. Translate valuation findings into clear, advisor-friendly insights that support decision-making around internal succession, equity structuring, and peer-to-peer transactions. Assist in explaining valuation drivers, risks, and sensitivities to clients during meetings, helping them understand how value is created, adjusted, and defended. Provide strategy to outcomes of valuation data to support practice goals. Legacy Solutions Transition Coaching (30%) Facilitate conversations between buyers and sellers as part of role to help sell financial advisory practices. Support the seller by identifying potential buyers to be considered for interview. Navigate other elements of the deal-making process. Participate in other elements of Legacy Solutions Coaching, such as general case management, deal-making, and relationship management. Internal/Other Role-Specific Responsibilities (10%) Participating in internal team meetings, Completing requested annual employment engagement surveys, such as Crain's, annual employee satisfaction, etc. Participating in team activities, such as community service, culture building activities, and other team building events. Supporting the organizational Vision/Traction Organizer, and other goals. Stay current with latest industry, regulatory, and economic trends and updates relevant to the Legacy Solutions Coach function. Monitor developments that impact the services provided by the Legacy Solutions team. Perform research-related tasks, as required, to support project and client needs.
Key Traits and Skills:
Replying to e-mails within 24 hours. Updating and maintaining client records in HubSpot. Displaying punctuality in all matters. Showing attention to detail in all work. Having clarity in all communication.
Required Experience:
Financial services, mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, and/or professional consulting.
Preferred Experience:
Contract preparation and legal writing. Financial planning, analysis, and financial modeling. Previous use of CRM systems, such as HubSpot.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This job operates in a traditional office environment, routinely using standard office equipment such as a laptop, phone, and headphones. This is largely a sedentary role. The appropriate technology will be provided by Advisor Legacy to do all basic elements of the day-to-day responsibilities.
Position Outline:
The Legacy Solutions Coach is a full-time, hourly position with the following hours:
Monday-Thursday:
8:00am-4:30pm (ET)
Friday:
8:00am-2:30pm (ET) Candidates within a 50-mile radius of the Troy, Michigan location are hybrid. Remote work available for candidates outside of a 50-mile radius from an Advisor Legacy Location.
Pay:
$64,385 - $93,358.
