LOCATION
Newport Career and Technical Center (NACTC)/Rogers High School
SCHOOL YEAR
2026-2027 (One Year Only)
STARTING DATE
September 2026 - Advisor reports directly to the Principal
SALARY:
Stipend $2,875.00
QUALIFICATIONS:
Should have a work schedule which will enable him/her to meet the advisory obligations without interference with his/her regular working schedule and will fit in with the advisory program at the high school.
Previous advisory experience desired.
Present employment at Rogers High School preferred.
Demonstrated ability to perform the responsibilities listed below as evidenced by previous experience and the interview process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedules and supervises meetings and activities on the premises of
NACTC/PTECH.
Selects appropriate materials and activities for USA Skills and reviews them with the Director for authorization.
Organizes and schedules activities to coordinate with the school calendar.
Maintains accurate financial accounting records and reports status to the Director.
Coordinates the transportation/logistics of all students to and from competitions.
Ensures that students are transported according to school policy.
Provides for the safety of students, facilities, and equipment while conducting all chapter activities.
Organizes, supervises, and conducts fund-raising and sponsorship activities as required to support the chapter.
Acts as a liaison between the state office students and school administrators. Is a voting member of the SkillsUSA RI Advisory Board.
