OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
This role is for a Senior Trust Officer that has several years of prior trust industry experience, preferably with South Dakota directed and discretionary trusts.
FUNCTIONS
General:
you will have a book of trust accounts that you serve as Trust Officer on and will perform standard Trust Officer duties for those accounts. It is anticipated that you will also receive some assistance in your role from a Trust Administrator to whom you can delegate certain functions. Serve as the face and name for a book of trust accounts and for certain referral sources Develop relationships with clients and referral sources General trust administration including answering client questions, facilitating distributions and investments, interacting with key players in the trust, etc. Assist clients with formation of new trust accounts Participate in business development meetings involving the creation of new trusts for your existing referral sources and clients Collaborate with clients and their advisors on the drafting process and to ensure certain provisions that the Company requires are in the documents (the Company does not provide legal or tax advice, but does request that certain administrative items are included in trust instruments) Working with a Trust Administrator to essentially handle all functions that need to occur with specific trusts that you are assigned Maintain a proficient knowledge of trust rules and regulations and Company's policies and procedures Ensure the safety and security of all customer information and also the confidentiality of such information Ensure compliance for accounts administered with guidance from Company's Policy & Procedure Manual Represent the Company in the community and attend industry-related events and conferences
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
— 5+ years of trust industry experience. — Bachelors degree or above required. GENERAL — Standard business hours are anticipated, but occasionally unscheduled hours may be needed to meet some high-volume or emergency needs.
OFFERED COMPENSATION PACKAGE
Because we believe in transparency, the full compensation package for the role is listed below: — Base salary TBD (exact amount offered for role is negotiable and depends on prior experience) — Discretionary Annual Bonus (based on personal and Company performance) — Employer profit share 401(k) contribution to employee of 10% of base salary (no employee match required) — Cellphone Reimbursement of $150/month ($1,800 annually) — Annual Max HSA Contribution for Family or Individual - 2026 amounts are $8,750 for Family or $4,400 for Individual (can be used to pay for health expenses and any unused amount employee keeps and can invest, use following year, etc.) — Fully employer-paid Individual or family medical insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield) up to $25k annually in premiums — Fully employer-paid dental insurance for Individual or Family (Delta Dental) — 20 Days Paid Time Off (you can roll over up to 5 days annually) — 14-16 Paid Holidays — Company events, outings, and perks
