GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking a Wealth Advisor to work directly with our clients and to assist in managing our growing business. The ideal candidate for this position has background providing sound financial advice to a wide range of individuals. The successful candidate joins a highly professional team that provides strategic advice to clients including, but not limited to, cash management, insurance analysis, retirement, tax & estate planning, and investment advisory services.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strive to understand clients' goals and objectives in order to develop personalized, comprehensive financial solutions that will help clients reach financial success. Provide expert guidance and innovative solutions for the planning needs of individuals and businesses in the areas of insurance, retirement planning, estate planning, business planning, education funding and investment advisory. Provide objective, unbiased financial advice to a diverse mix of clients by analyzing investment opportunities and client needs. Utilizing planning skills and strategies to meet client needs. Client relationship development and management, including ongoing and regular client contact and communications.
Client meeting preparation:
review all required paperwork prior to meetings. Actively engage with clients to update financial planning goals, objectives and strategies. Gather client information and create or update planning projections and recommendations through eMoney (prior experience preferred but not required), as well as other proprietary planning tools. Work closely with the Investment Team to assist with the investment management process. This includes the coordination of the comprehensive planning and wealth management strategies. Participate in business development process with prospective clients. Maintain and grow your financial planning and investment knowledge through continuous reading of periodicals, white papers, research reports and other industry publications.
EXPERIENCE/CREDENTIALS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. 5+ years of relevant experience dealing with wealth management clients and/or services. Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Investment management, third party certification or licensing by relevant agency or association an added plus.
COMPETENCIES
Working knowledge of planning strategies and solutions. Ability to work in a team environment, but also comfortable leading the effort when called upon. Knowledge of investments and macro-economics as they relate to clients' investment goals and objectives. Actively engages as a team member and leverage the strengths of the overall team to deliver outstanding results and solutions to our clients. High attention to detail. Strong written and oral communication.
