Job Description
Description We are looking for a Pricing Analyst to join a supply chain-focused team in California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can combine analytical thinking with strong coordination skills to deliver accurate pricing and quotation support. The role works closely with manufacturing, engineering, sales, and customer service to evaluate technical details, support competitive pricing strategies, and keep quote activity moving on schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare pricing proposals for both new and existing part numbers, ensuring quote details are accurate and submitted within expected timelines.
- Support offshore quotation activity by gathering required inputs and helping assemble pricing responses for customer requests.
- Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to assess production feasibility and identify when exceptions or deviation approvals are required.
- Communicate quotation-related issues, including deviation needs and manufacturability concerns, to customer service and sales stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- Manage multiple RFQ packages at once, helping reduce backlog volume while tracking each request through completion by the requested due date.
- Apply knowledge of facility capabilities, special processing options, and production constraints to build realistic and cost-effective quote recommendations.
- Collaborate with leadership on discounting and pricing approaches that strengthen competitiveness and improve win rates.
- Review applicable customer and technical specification requirements during the quote process and incorporate any necessary deviations into the final proposal.
- Select panel configurations, analyze material utilization, and develop array options that support efficient manufacturing and attractive pricing outcomes.
- Maintain clear and thorough communication across internal teams to align on quotation requirements, pricing assumptions, and production considerations. Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in pricing, estimating, quoting, manufacturing support, supply chain analysis, or a related field.
- Ability to interpret prints, fabrication drawings, and technical documents in order to prepare complete and accurate RFQs.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and how production methods influence quotation strategy and pricing decisions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across customer service, sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
- Solid numerical ability and attention to detail, with confidence applying basic pricing policies and calculations accurately.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Word, for documentation, analysis, and quote preparation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience or familiarity with supply chain logistics, supply chain management, global supply chain concepts, forecasting, or production planning is valued.
